Strange "Boot mngr not found" issue
HiI'm having a strange issue with my Windows 7 RC x86 installation.I have now several times (at least 3) experienced a "Boot mgr not found, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart" message from my computer. From the last time itoccured I have a fairly good knowledge about what happended.I tried to shut down the computer using the media center remote. The computer shut down, was in standby for a couple of secondsand then started up again (this has has been an issue before, I suspect that my logitech wireless USB keyboard is the reason)Instead I then shut the computer down using the keyboard, by pressing the "Shutdown and install updates" button. The screen goes back and nothing more happends.I expect that it is trying to install updates so I let the computer be and goes to bed.The morning after the screen says "Boot mgr not found, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart". I try to do so, same message again. Retried a couple of times, same result.I pressed the shut down button on my computer for a 1/2 sec (My MB is set up so that you will have to hold it inn for 4 seconds to do a total power off). The computer shuts down. I press the power button agani. The computer starts up and resumes Windows7 as if from standby.I can now shut down the computer without problems. As I mentioned, I have experienced this before. I actually suspects that at "shut down and install updates" has been involved the other times. At least one of the other times I'm quite supre that it was.Any ides?Backgroundinformation:My computer is used as a home theater PC, and the main usage is listening to music, watching movies and television.
